Lilly Klein lived in hungry with her family at the time hungry and Germany in an alliance this alliance allowed Lilly to go to school at a local Jewish high school until her seventeenth year. Once hungry found out that Germany was losing, they then tried to break off the alliance . This made Hitler angry so he ordered his armies into Hungary. In 1944, German troops with the help of Hungarian collaborators, began deporting local Jews to concentration camps. Lilly was then taken to a concentration camp where they stayed for two months. They were then sent to Auschwitz death camps. On their way to the death camps they were stopped because the train tracks had bombed in allied air raids. At age eighteen in 1945 at the time they were liberating the people, Lilly was found barley alive.

Part 1 Personal Response- The Blind Side
In English we started watching The Blind Side. In this movie there is a scene where Leigh Anne Touhy the main character and her friends are sitting in a restaurants. They start talking about how Leigh is letting an African American named Big Mike stay at her house. Her friends don’t seem to like the idea of this and start judging her and making somewhat racist comments about Big Mike. During this conversation one of the friends named Beth said “You’re changing that boy’s life.” Then Leigh said “No. He’s changing mine.” These words are of high importance because they show how there are different types of people in the world, the ones who don’t judge based on looks and the others that put a label on someone and right it off without a second thought.
During the conversation when her friends when they started talking badly about Big Mike. Leigh stood up for what she believed in and kept helping him even though her friends didn’t approve of it. The quotes above help me to stand up for what I think is right even though others may not approve.
Part 2 Personal Response- The Blind Side
In our English and info. class we are watching the blind side in one of the senses Michael Oher was writing an essay on based courage he was reading a poem in the family’s kitchen when he finally figured out what he should write. He then started to write “Courage is a hard thing to figure. You can have courage based on a dumb idea or a mistake, but you’re not supposed to question adults, or your coach, or your teacher because they make the rules. Maybe they know best but maybe they don’t. It all depends on who you are, where you come from. Didn’t at least one of the six hundred guys think about giving up and joining with the other side? I mean, Valley of Death, that’s pretty salty stuff. That’s why courage is tricky. Should you always do what others tell you to do? Sometimes you might not even know why you’re doing something. I mean, any fool can have courage. But honor, that’s the real reason you either do something or you don’t. It’s who you want to be. If you die trying for something important then you have both honor and courage and that’s pretty good. I think that’s what the writer was saying; that you should try for courage and hope for honor. And maybe even pray that the people telling you what to do have some, too.” this quote helps me see how some that in this case courage is something that you hope for and honor is something you can earn. Many people could have courage if they actually tried to help others. Not many people understand it because with courage you could go on to a battle field and fight even though the odds many be against you.
The three countries i found interesting were Iceland, Canada and China. I found this interesting because Iceland had a higher percentage then Canada. Iceland is in first place with 96.5% digital access and Canada is in fifteenth place with 85.8% digital access. I also found China to be interesting because i thought it would be in or close to first place but it turned out to be in 86th place with 45.8% digital access.
For our written response we got asked what we wanted to do after high school. After high school, I hope I will go to college then work in a profession that I love; but I am not too sure what I really what to do for a job. Either before or after I get that job I what I would like to travel the word, the main places I would like to travel to are Italy, Greece, Brazil, Mexico, and Japan. Then later I would like to get married and have a family.
True Colors Reflection
In info. Pro. I had to find what color I was for this True Colors assignment. The order of my colors are orange (doer), blue (helper), green (thinker), and gold (planner). It was easy to decide which color I was but there are other colors that were very close to my strongest color. The process that helped me make this decision was kind of easy because I just picked the ones that best described me. The qualities that I most identify with are orange and blue. I identify my esteem behavior to more of an orange behavior. If I had to pick a career from the orange, blue, green, and gold I would say the job I would like to in would be a Dancer if I could dance, for the color orange and a Painter because I love art and love painting or my favorite a Firefighter. For blue I would be a Fashion writer. For green, an FBI agent. And for gold I would be a Forester.
